Diwali sky lanterns

Yash Primary English School, Satana organized a workshop for making Diwali sky lanterns*

On the 8th of November 2023, Yash Group’s President, Mr. Balasaheb Akat, conceptualized an event to create Diwali sky lanterns in the school premises. A significant number of students enthusiastically participated in this endeavor.

At this event, the beautifully crafted artworks made by the students were displayed. The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Yash Maheshrao Akat, with Principal Mr. Shaikh Sir presiding over the ceremony. The students showcased a variety of colorful and attractive sky lanterns created with their own hands using different materials and techniques. Guidance for this artistic venture was provided by Ms. Kolhe Mam and Ms. Patil Mam.

Additionally, the school courtyard was adorned with beautiful rangoli designs and decorations by the school staff, creating a festive atmosphere.

During the program, Principal Shamir Shaikh addressed the students, providing guidance on the safe use of firecrackers during Diwali, completing Diwali homework assigned by subject teachers, organizing a pollution-free Diwali, and how to be considerate while bursting firecrackers. The students, teachers, and parents were given diverse insights on these topics, making the event educational and enjoyable.

The program concluded with the distribution of Diwali greetings to students, teachers, and parents by the Yash Group of Institutes. The entire event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Jayaram Chavan, and special thanks were given to Ms. Sujata Bidve for her efforts.

The teachers and staff were also felicitated by Yash Group of Institutes with Diwali greetings at the end of the program.

The hardworking, determined, and dedicated students of Rajmata Coaching Classes, specifically Miss Swati Balu Akat, have been recognized as eligible for the NMMS Scholarship (National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship) competitive exam. In acknowledgment of this achievement, she was felicitated by the classes. This scholarship entails an annual grant of ₹12,000 for a duration of four years, totaling ₹48,000, to support her education from 9th to 12th grade. At this moment, heartfelt congratulations are extended to Mr. Sandeep Kawade (Sir) and Mr. Krishna Akat (Sir), the directors of the classes.

Organizing of Math Genius Olympiad Exam at Yash English School

As per the directives of the school president, Mr. Balasaheb Akat, the *Math Genius Olympiad Exam* was conducted at Yash English School on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

A total of 109 students from grades 1 to 6 participated in this competition. All the teachers provided valuable guidance to the students for their preparation. The principal of the school, Mr. Shamir Sheikh, and the chief coordinator of the competition, Mrs. Kolpe, played a significant role in overseeing the event. The examination, conducted under the leadership of Principal Shamir Sheikh and the guidance of Mrs. Kolpe, was challenging and had a time constraint of 30 minutes.

The main organizer of the competition, Mr. Shrivishankar More, personally attended the event and ensured its smooth execution. The aim of this examination was to enhance students’ knowledge, boost their self-confidence, and instill a sense of healthy competition. The detailed information about the competition will be communicated to the students, and they are encouraged to actively participate in future editions of such exams.

Yash Primary and Secondary School celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India.*

On the 2nd of October, a program was organized in Yash Primary and Secondary School to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Khandare, presided over the event, and it was attended by prominent guests including Mr. Surung, Mr. Kale, and Mr. Kuradne. The statues of both great personalities were worshiped during the program.

During the event, students from the seventh grade, Mr. Manoj Bendale, Mr. Rishikesh Bendale, Miss Prajna Late, Miss Sakshi Late, and Mr. Omkar Soje, delivered speeches on the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Mr. Kale, Mr. Surung, and Mr. Kuradne also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of incorporating the values of self-reliance, national unity, truth, and non-violence into their lives.

The students were guided on how to emulate Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri in their school and personal lives. The program was conducted smoothly under the supervision of Mr. Kale, Mr. Surung, and Mr. Kuradne, and it was compered by students from the eighth grade, Miss Kartiki Bidve and Miss Anushka Jhol.

The success of the program was attributed to the hard work of all the teachers and staff members, who dedicated their efforts to make it a meaningful and educational event.

*Grand Organization of Blood Donation Camp under the Sw. Mahesh (Bhau) Sitaramji Akat Foundation*

On Friday, September 8, 2023, a grand event was organized under the Sw. Mahesh (Bhau) Sitaramji Akat Foundation to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sw. Mahesh (Bhau) Akat and in memory of Sw. Datta (Aba) Akat. The Chairman of the Yash Group, Mr. Balasaheb Sitaramji Akat, presided over the ceremony.

As part of the social initiatives undertaken by Mr. Balasaheb Akat, a noble event took place in Satona Khurd, Yash Urban Samor, near the bus stand – the inauguration of the ‘Kayamsarupi Panpoi,’ a water purification facility capable of providing clean water, with a capacity of 10,000 liters daily. The auspicious inauguration was performed by Mr. Parameshwar Nana Akat.

During the event, a magnificent blood donation camp was organized, building on the success of a similar camp held the previous year. Mr. Navall Parsaram Soni attended the camp’s inauguration, where a total of 143 voluntary blood donors came forward to contribute.

Yash Primary English School Celebrates Teacher’s Day

On September 5th, in honor of the birth anniversary of India’s first Vice President and second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Teacher’s Day was celebrated across the country. Yash Primary English School also joined in the festivities, organizing various activities throughout the day. The entire day was dedicated to classroom activities for students in the 5th and 6th grades.

The students actively participated in academic sessions, sports, and extracurricular activities, showcasing their talents and skills. The 6th-grade students took on the role of direct teaching, while the 5th-grade students acted as assistant teachers. In this unique arrangement, Mr. Naman Kharat played the role of the principal, and Miss Neha Bidwe assumed the role of Vice Principal.

The program commenced with Principal Mr. Shaikh honoring the teaching staff and presenting each teacher with a bouquet of flowers and a pen as a token of appreciation. Mr. Shaikh extended his Teacher’s Day wishes and acknowledged the valuable contributions of all the teachers.

During the event, Mr. Shaikh also distributed roses and pens to all the teachers on behalf of the school management. The Cultural Department Head, Mr. Chavan, delivered a speech on the significance of Teacher’s Day and shared anecdotes from the life of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Among the students who expressed their views on the role of teachers were Arushi Late, Sankalp Kharche, Samrudhi Honde, and Dushyant Dahale.

The program concluded with Mr. Shaikh highlighting the contributions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, and their impact on the field of education. The closing ceremony was conducted by Ms. Shravani Akat, and Ms. Payal Solanke expressed her gratitude for the successful celebration of Teacher’s Day.

The success of the program was attributed to the collective efforts of teachers, staff, and students who actively participated in making the event a memorable one.
